Meet the Kirby landscaping team!
Charles Kirby Jr.
Since mowing lawns to pay for Ag. school in his early 20’s, customer satisfaction has always been Charles’ top priority. In fact, he prioritizes such a high standard of customer services that many of his original customers are still with us even 20 years later!
“Kirby’s does such a good job and always cares about the final product” is a common phrase from our customers. Charles strives for Kirby’s to be the best, most reliable landscaping company in the Richmond area. When Charles isn’t designing outdoor living spaces and going above and beyond for customers (he has changed attic light bulbs while meeting to discuss a patio project!), he enjoys Salsa dancing with his wife, supporting his oldest daughter’s volleyball talents and fishing with his youngest daughter.
Charles and Candace met line dancing at a local spot in the late 90’s and ever since Charles won her heart, Candace has been an essential part of Kirby’s Landscaping. When Candace isn’t at the office she can be found running, running, and running. She’s an avid marathon enthusiast and has completed 16 marathons! She loves spending time with her kids and taking long evening strolls with the family dog, Ruby.
Ashley Teucke is an environmentalist at her core. She’s never walked past a piece of litter in her life without picking it up. It’s this care for Mother Nature that led her to managing lawns and gardens for Kirby’s Landscaping. After numerous desk jobs post-college, she was ready to get outside. Organic farming gave her the fundamental knowledge of how to grow almost anything and she has since applied this knowledge to help Kirby’s customers have a lush green yard and beautifully happy plants.
Maintenance Accounts Manager
Zach joins Kirby's Landscaping looking to add his management experience to a reputable and well-established local business. After a decided of working in public safety, he wants to put his upbeat personality and energy into helping customers enjoy their property. Kirby's Landscaping is excited to put Zach's multitasking skills to work!
Jaime found her love for Horticulture during an elective class in her senior year of high school. Since then, she has graduated from Virginia Tech in the Agricultural Technology Program and gone on to experience many different sides of the landscaping industry. She found her way to Kirby’s in early 2021 and is so excited to work with Kirby’s customers, bringing their landscaping dreams to life. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her Great Pyrenees Oso (Spanish for Bear... because she is fluent in Espanol!) , tasting wine, and dancing wherever she can.
Michele started working for Kirby’s Landscaping in November 2021 and is the voice behind the smile when you call into Kirby’s Landscaping. After a 28 year career in insurance, Michele says what she enjoys most about her transition to Kirby's Landscaping is working in a friendly office environment where everyone is helpful and ready to step in when help is needed.
Michele’s primary focus is to provide an exceptional customer experience for our clients. She takes great pride in developing long term customer relationships which results in happy clients who call on Kirby's for repeat work.
When Michele is not working at Kirby’s she enjoys spending time with her family, swimming, fishing and listening to music. She is active in her church community and a longtime member of the hand bell choir.
Boss Hound Dog
Ruby can be found at the Kirby's office everyday! Even when she doesn't get a ride to work, she'll make her way through the field and bring herself to work. She loves to come to work, get treats, check in with all the employees and then find a soft spot in the yard for a warm nap.
She's the best Boss Hound Dog around!
